Coastal Wattle Residence

Coastal Wattle Residence is a recently approved Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) project comprising a single 3-bedroom Class 3 home, purpose-designed under the High Physical Support category of the NDIS SDA framework. Conceived as a long-term residence, the home provides a balance of privacy, comfort, and connection, ensuring accessibility and dignity are embedded in every aspect of daily living.

The design places an emphasis on creating a home rather than a facility. Light-filled communal spaces open seamlessly to a north-facing alfresco area, encouraging social interaction and connection to the outdoors, while generous private bedrooms with ensuites provide calm, restorative retreats.

Going beyond SDA requirements, the project integrates assistive technology, accessible joinery, and considered spatial planning to promote independence and ease of care. Natural materials, soft tones, and abundant natural light work together to create a warm and inviting environment that supports both physical and emotional well-being.

Externally, the home adopts a refined residential language that blends effortlessly into its suburban setting, reflecting CNA’s commitment to authenticity and design that enhances community integration.

CNA have been engaged as Architect from concept design through to construction, fostering a deeply collaborative approach with our client and consultant team. The outcome is a residence that embodies our core values, compassion, accessibility, and enduring design, while delivering a home that is both functional and genuinely liveable.
